Anderson Valley’s coastal proximity brings cool marine fogs and dramatic diurnal shifts, ideal for slow, balanced Pinot Noir ripening. The vineyards sit on a mix of sandstone, clay, and gravelly alluvial soils, imparting both freshness and minerality.

Tasting notes:
The 2020 Carpe Diem Pinot Noir has aromas of red cherries, raspberries, and cranberries layered with subtle nuances of rose petals, baking spices, and forest floor. The palate is light- to medium-bodied with a fine, silky texture. The red berry fruit characters on the nose dominate on the palate; accents of clove, cedar, and savory spice add depth and dimension. Refined tannins and bright acidity add structure and lift. The finish is long and clean, with lingering red fruits and a subtle earthy-mineral edge.
