PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
Heidsieck & Co. was established in 1785 and is a Monopole; that is, it has total ownership and control of the vineyards from which it gets its grapes. It is known for its generous proportions of pinot noir in all of its cuvées. Today's offering is a blend of pinot noir, chardonnay, and pinot meunier and is a standard-bearer for NV Champagnes in the region. It is rich and round, with flavors of toasted, buttered brioche, candied apricots, and peaches and cream, with citrussy acidity and a lively mousse.
