The 2019 Titus Vineyards Family Estate Reserve Cabernet will elevate your holiday meal to soaring heights or will be a terrific addition to your cellar!

Titus Vineyards was established in 1968 by Lee and Ruth Titus. Their dream to grow grapes was launched with the acquisition of 50 acres of prime land just north of St. Helena, followed by the purchase of an additional 10 acres nearby. They planted their land to the classic Bordeaux varietals and sold their fruit to Charles Krug, Beaulieu Vineyards, Cuvaison, Quail Ridge, and Pine Ridge, to name a few.

Busy with farming their land and raising their family, they were not able to realize their dream of building a winery and making their own wines. It wasn't until 1990, after sons Eric and Phillip took over operations, that the first vintage of Titus wines was produced. Eric and Phillip, while the first family members to craft wine, owe much of their success to their parents, who instilled in them a reverence for the land. To that end, they farm sustainably, eschewing the use of pesticides, and take a non-interventionist approach to their craft. 

The 2019 Titus Family Estate Reserve Cabernet displays the focused character of the Ehlers Lane Vineyard with a powerful wine that is impeccably structured. As it develops in the glass, aromas of blueberry and dark cherry come together with espresso, bakers’ chocolate, crème brulee, and rose hip. Unctuous on the palate, this delightful wine is nicely framed with lush tannins that highlight crème de cassis, black raspberry, and rich toast flavors. Impressive cassis, tobacco, chocolate, and spicy oak, as well as a kiss of chalky rock-like minerality all give way to a rich, full-bodied, mouth-filling effort with ripe tannins and a great finish.
