PRODUCT OVERVIEW/REVIEWS:
At Cambria Estate, the coastal vineyards have a terroir that is ideal for the cultivation of cool climate varietals like chardonnay: morning fog and maritime breezes from the Pacific Ocean and soil comprised of fossilized seashells, shale, limestone, and sand. These gifts of nature, combined with decades of rigorous vineyard management and winemaking practices, have made Cambria chardonnays among the best in the world. A chardonnay with the Cambria name is guaranteed to be a fabulous expression of this noble grape varietal.

Today's wine is Cambria's flagship chardonnay. Fresh fruit and floral aromas dominate the nose; the palate is resplendent with white peach,
lemon zest, pear, granny smith apple, and citrus blossoms. The oak
influence balances nicely with the bright acidity that lingers on the long finish. (from winery notes)

94 points, Vinous:
"The 2021 Chardonnay Katherine's Vineyard is notable. Bright and chiseled, the 2021 bristles with tension. Citrus peel, chamomile, white flowers, mint, and tangerine oil are some of the notes that grace this exquisite Santa Maria chardonnay. Partial aging in steel keeps the flavors bright." (7/23)

91 points, Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Broad aromas of white pear, poached apple, and citrus peel draw the nose into this widely popular bottling. There's a yuzu and grapefruit zestiness to the palate, giving an edge to the fleshy pear core." (7/1/23)

91 points, Jeb Dunnuck:
"Beautiful orchard fruits, toasted bread, and some sappy flower notes all emerge from the 2021 Chardonnay Katherine's Vineyard, a medium to full-bodied, beautifully balanced, elegant wine that has nicely integrated acidity as well as a supple, up-front, delicious style." (8/30/23)
