PRODUCT OVERVIEW/REVIEWS:
Fattoria Le Pupille is a family-owned estate currently managed by Elisabetta Geppetti and her daughter, Clara Gentili. The first woman in her family to run this iconic winery, Elisabetta has carried on the traditions of her forebears while at the same time breaking new ground; she was instrumental in the establishment of Morellino di Scansano as a DOCG, putting this production zone on the world wine map alongside its more well-known Tuscan neighbors.
Located in the Maremma region on the southern tip of Tuscany and the Tyrrhenian Sea, Fattoria Le Pupille benefits from volcanic soil and hot, dry daytime weather balanced out by sea breezes that elicit significant swings in day-to-night temperatures. This variation enables grapes to develop an ideal balance between ripe fruit characters and acidity. And that volcanic soil? It makes its mark, providing the ideal complementary flavors to the finished wines.
While Fattoria Le Pupille is known for its Sangiovese-based Super Tuscans as well as those from the Morellino di Scansano DOCG, the estate's gifts of nature really shine in today's white wine. Since its first vintage in 1997, this glorious blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Manseng, Traminer, and Semillon has had a huge following and has garnered numerous awards from the media.

92 points, James Suckling:
"Lots of grapefruit and melon with some apricot. Full-bodied and really tangy, with sliced apple, apricot, and crushed stone. Crunchy, with lovely energy." ( 9/6/22)
