PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
For three centuries and across 13 generations, the Trimbach family has produced wines that are structured, long-lived, fruity, elegant, and balanced. The family personally looks after each operation, from planting to harvests and from vinification to bottling. The viticultural origin of the Trimbach family dates back to 1626 when Jean Trimbach was recognized as a citizen of Riquewihr. From then on, the Trimbachs were renowned for their expert grape cultivation and wine craftsmanship.*

Maison Trimbach’s vineyards are all situated around Ribeauville (Ribeauville, Hunawihr, Bergheim, Rorschwihr, Riquewihr, and Mittlewihr). They benefit from the unique Alsatian microclimate - thanks to the Vosges Mountains protection - which preserves the plain from the rain. The vineyards were planted on the Ribeauville’s fault line that fractured 50 million years ago between the Vosges Mountain range and the Black Forest, offering a mosaic of terroirs including the complex calcareous limestone and bio-degraded seashell fossils called “Muschelkalk”.*

Today's wine is made from grapes selected by current caretaker Pierre Trimbach. Lushly textured and smooth, with balanced acidity, it has aromas and flavors of floral-tinged apricots, pears, and Granny Smith apples entwined with accents of wet stone and bright acidity.

91 points, Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Shy aromas of green apple candy are playful but restrained on the nose of this wine. The palate follows suit, hinting at notes of Granny Smith, blanched almonds, and Emmental. Light-bodied and refreshingly bright, the wine is artfully balanced and nuanced." (5/1/23)

90 points, James Suckling:
"Attractive aromas of caramelized pear and summer meadows are married to lively citrusy acidity on the medium-bodied palate. Very refreshing and animating finish. Everything fits neatly." (4/4/23)
