Cédric Lecareux and his wife, Catherine, spent 15 years working in the wine industry and yearned to own their own domaine. Their dream was realized when they purchased their centuries-old property in Régnié-Durette in 2014. Named for an old French term meaning vine tendrils, Domaine Les Capréoles embodies the Lecareux’s philosophy of non-interventionist winemaking and letting the terror be the main determinant of the wines’ character.
Dry yet fruit-driven, the Domaine Les Capréoles "Cossinelle" Beaujolais-Villages Rosé is medium-bodied and resplendent with aromas and flavors of fresh, ripe strawberries laced with white peaches and the merest kiss of wet stone. Medium acidity brings balance while maintaining the wine’s plush mouthfeel.
