The 2021 Quinta de Pacheca Duoro Superior Tinto is a blend of 50% touriga franca, 30% touriga nacional, 10% tinta roriz, 5% tinto cão, and 5% souzão from 25-to-60-year-old vines. Aged for 9 months in seasoned oak, the wine is full-bodied and silky-smooth, with a nose of cassis, black cherries, and brambly earth followed by a palate that abounds with flavors of blackberries and black plums laced with hints of cocoa, wet stone, and a hint of black pepper on the long finish.
