The Schlatter’s winemaking philosophy is in sync with that of chief winemaker Jeff Crawford, who crafts single-varietal wines made in a classic style to best express their sense of place and distinct character. His non-interventionist approach to winemaking and minimal new oak usage contribute to the elegance for which the Starmont wines are known.*

The 2018 Starmont Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon North Coast has aromas of blackberries, cassis, bramble, and dark chocolate. A fresh entry on the palate is evidence of the fruit’s natural acidity, which gives way to cedar accents on the mid-palate.
