Mollydooker Winery was established by Sarah and Sparky Marquis in 2006. Their success is based on their unique system of vine nourishment. Coined "The Marquis Vineyard Watering Programme™", it involves supplying their vines with the right amount of water based on their growth at various points in the viticultural cycle. This system was designed to ensure that their grapes would bring forth wines with ripe, concentrated fruit characters and velvety texture. Judging by today's offer, the system is working splendidly! 

Aged in 100% in new American oak, the 2021 "Carnival of Love" Shiraz is a real showstopper. This rich and powerful pleasure bomb has aromas of red cherries, blackberries, cassis, and plums that follow on the full-bodied, smooth palate. Accents of anise, cocoa, cedar, and baking spices appear on the mid-palate, adding depth and complexity. Pliant tannins and moderate acidity lend structure without detracting from the wine's silky texture.

This bottling was as usual aged in all new American oak. On the nose this takes on dense black currant jelly, cigar box, and shades of creosote with Arabica bean. The palate is soft and inviting with its plush texture and seamless mouthfeel as this effortlessly glides throughout the drinking experience. A joy to drink now so young, this will easily cellar for another ten years and potentially more. But why wait? Drink 2023-2036."
