Cantina di Bertiolo Cabert is a wine cooperative founded in 1960 by 24 grape growers who wanted to pool their resources and craft traditional wines that reflected their origins. Over the years, they have expanded their membership and facilities but have remained steadfast in their commitment to quality. Today, the cooperative has hundreds of members who contribute to the production of wines that are enjoyed all over the world.
Today's offer hails from the DOC of Friuli, also known as Friuli-Venezia-Giulia. Its proximity to the Alps and the Adriatic sea and its limestone-alluvial soils make the region ideal for the cultivation of wines that strike the perfect balance between fruit characters and mineral-driven acidity.
VInified and aged in stainless steel to preserve its ebullient fruits, the 2024 Cantina di Bertiolo Cabert Cabernet Sauvignon is medium-bodied and smooth, with aromas and flavors of raspberries, cherries, and blackberries. On the palate, the fruits are laced with notes of savory herbs and stony minerality. Pliant tannins and moderate acidity give the wine structure and bring it to a long and flavorful finish.
