Introduction:
A bold, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon from Red Mountain—America’s concentrated, sun-drenched AVA. This 2021 Canvasback combines ripe blackberry richness with structured elegance, delivering depth, sophistication, and clear sense of place.

Terrior:
Grapes grown on Red Mountain’s rocky, well-drained loam at elevations around 800 feet, where intense sunshine and warm days are moderated by cool Columbia River breezes. The combination of sandy soils, solar exposure, and diurnal temperature swings fosters concentrated fruit with balanced acidity.

Appearance:
Deep, opaque garnet with purple-tinged rims—indicative of youthful intensity and concentration.

Nose:
Layered aromas of cassis, black plum, and warmed blackberry are supported by accents of graphite, dried tobacco leaf, and pencil shaving. Subtle oak spice (clove, dark chocolate) and a hint of iron-rich earth add depth.

Palate:
Full-bodied and powerful, with rich black and blue fruit flavors—think blackberry, black cherry, and plum. Refined tannins deliver structure, while notes of espresso, baking spice, and mineral graphite weave through. Bright acidity brings energy and lifts the lush core.

Finish:
Long and sustained, with lingering dark fruit, a whisper of dark mocha, and tannins that persist yet remain elegant.

Overall Impression:
This Canvasback captures the strength and refinement of Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s bold yet polished, offering immediate pleasure as well as the structure to evolve over the next 7–10 years. Ideal with grilled ribeye, venison, or aged cheddar.
