PRODUCT OVERVIEW/REVIEW:
Domaine Tinel Blondelet is located in the far eastern reaches of the Loire Valley, in Pouilly-Fumé, across the river from Sancerre. Annick Tinel-Blondelet has managed the Estate since 1983, after earning her diploma in Viticulture and Enology in Beaune.  Part of a farming and winemaking family for more than 400 years, she represents the 12th generation. Currently, Domaine Tinel Blondelet stretches over 15 Hectares of vineyards divided into 3 appellations: Pouilly Fumé, Sancerre, and Pouilly-sur-Loire.*

Annick is driven by the desire to produce authentic wines that reflect their origins while preserving the land. To that end, she adopted a "lutte raisonnée" approach to viticulture; she eschews the use of agrochemicals as much as possible in order to maintain the long-term health of the vines as well as the land's biodiversity.*

The sauvignon blancs from Pouilly-Fumé are said to be even more mineral-infused than those from Sancerre. The "L'Arret Buffatte" is a stunner for the genre. Named after the vineyard from which it is sourced, it is elegant and refined, with bright citrus and grassy notes, marked minerality, and a whiff of white peach.*

90 points, Wine Enthusiast Magazine:

"Named after the vineyard from which it is produced, this wine is rounded, ripe with layers of acidity, green apples and a texture that is just beginning to soften. Drink the wine from 2021." (12/31/20)
