PRODUCT OVERVIEW:While most Italian rosé is referred to as rosato, pink wine from Lake Garda is called "chiaretto". Elegant, versatile, and incredibly tasty, chiarettos reflect the morainic soils of the region, with compelling mineral notes that compliment the fruit characters.

Guerrieri Rizzardi is a family-owned estate based in Bardolino with vineyards in the four Classico areas for the production of Veronese wines: Bardolino, Valpolicella, Soave, and Valdadige. The winery is housed in an ancient building belonging to the family and its ancestors since 1450. All grapes come from estate vineyards and the wines are vinified in the cellars situated in each appellation.*

At Guerrieri Rizzardi, the relationship between the land, heritage, and tradition has, for many years, molded the family's philosophy, yet they have never lost sight of innovation in their quest to produce a better bottle of wine.*

The "Keya" is a blend of corvina, rondinella, sangiovese, & merlot vinified from grapes grown in selected plots throughout the family's Bardolino estate, planted in the villages of Cavaion and Bardolino, on the hills of the eastern side of Lake Garda. Aromas of floral-tinged peaches and orange peel lead to a palate of ripe melon and citrus fruits laced with hints of Spring herbs. It finishes long while maintaining vibrancy, as lingering minerality gives way to subtle notes of tropical fruits.

91 points, Decanter:
"A historical name of the Bardolino district, with ancient noble ancestry, Guerrieri Rizzardi has elaborated an original mix for this Chiaretto: 75% corvina, 5% rondinella, and 10% of both sangiovese and merlot. The 50-year-old vines dig deep into the mineral soils, producing a citrussy, said, and incisive wine with a long finish." (3/1/23)
