Il Molino di Grace is steeped in the historic Chianti Classico tradition producing old world Classico as well as Super-Tuscan wines. Founded by Frank Grace in the 1990’s, the winery of Il Molino di Grace was built with a simple vision: to bottle the most authentic expression of this rocky terroir and its fruits.*
The vineyards that produce Il Molino di Grace’s wines have been doing so for over three and half centuries. Harvested first by monks from the local monastery, these vineyards never cease to amaze winemakers and wine enthusiasts.*
Frank Grace and his two sons Tim & Daniel have instilled and infused the science and technology of modern organic wine production with the artful tradition of old world wine making. Il Molino di Grace celebrates the delicate balance of tradition, creativity and innovation with every cuvée they produce year after year.*
Crafted from 100% Sangiovese and aged for 12 months in a combination of Slavonian oak
casks, French barriques, and tonneaux of first and second use, the 2022 Il Molino di Grace Chianti Classico Riserva has a complex bouquet of cherries, brambly earth, Mediterranean herbs, and hints of cedar. The palate is medium-to full-bodied, with flavors of black cherries, raspberries, and blackberries laced with subtle hints of black tea and licorice. The finish is long and dry, with moderate acidity and pliant tannins that give the wine structure and lift.

92 points, Vinous:
"The 2022 Chianti Classico Riserva is laced with dark red cherry, plum, mocha, new leather, licorice and incense. Rich and heady, with terrific balance, the 2022 has a lot to offer. It's a terrific example of the style at Molino di Grace these days. All the elements are so well balanced. Floral overtones reappear to close out the finish."
92 points, James Suckling:
"This is very balanced and focused, with savory nuances, a core of ripe red and dark berries and hints of orange peel and spices. Tense and juicy, it has a medium body with crunchy tannins and a flavorful finish. From organically grown grapes. Unfiltered. Drink now or hold."
