Terroir: Grown on the hillside vineyards of Loreto Aprutino at approximately 300 meters above sea level in the province of Pescara, Montepulciano thrives in Abruzzo's warm Mediterranean climate moderated by Adriatic breezes and the proximity of the Apennine mountains. The combination of clay-rich soils, adequate rainfall, and wide diurnal temperature swings allows the grape to build the deep color, plush tannins, and ripe, concentrated fruit it is known for, while retaining enough freshness and acidity to keep the wine balanced and food-friendly.

Nose: Intense and fruit-forward — dark cherry, black cherry, plum, and blackberry are front and center, layered with chocolate, potting soil, black pepper, and a gentle vanilla and sweet spice note from the oak aging.
