Introduction:
Mason Cellars has been one of Napa Valley's most respected Sauvignon Blanc specialists since Randy Mason launched the label in Oakville in 1993, making him one of the variety's true California pioneers. Before Mason Cellars, Randy managed vineyards for Chappellet and served as head winemaker at Lakespring Winery for 14 years. His philosophy is one of minimalist intervention: long-term grower relationships, meticulous vineyard sourcing, and a hands-off cellar approach that lets each site speak for itself.*

Terroir:
The wine is blended from Mason's long-standing grower partner vineyards across the Napa Valley appellation, with the Yount Mill Vineyard in Yountville as the backbone of the blend. Napa's warm days and cool nights, moderated by the fog that rolls off San Pablo Bay each afternoon, allow Sauvignon Blanc to ripen fully while retaining its natural acidity and aromatic precision. The combination of alluvial soils and the valley's unique thermal modulation gives the wine its signature balance of ripe fruit and refreshing structure.*

Tasting notes:
The 2024 Mason Sauvignon Blanc has aromas of grapefruit, honeysuckle, lemon verbena, and peaches. Light- to medium-bodied, the palate has a silky texture that sets it apart from leaner  expressions of the varietal. Grapefruit, lime, ripe pears, and Fuji apples are laced with stony minerality. The wine finishes long, with vibrant acidity, essence of citrus peel, and a clean  mineral fade.
