Introduction:
A vibrant and expressive red from Navarra, the 2022 Nekeas “El Chaparral de Vega Sindoa”delivers a harmonious blend of ripe fruit, earthy nuance, and well-integrated structure—showing Navarra’s modern potential with clarity and finesse.

Terrior:
Crafted from hillside vineyards in the Navarra DO’s northern temperate zone, the vines thrive in limestone-clay soils with excellent drainage. Elevation (~400 m) combined with Atlantic-influenced cool nights ensures bright acidity and aromatic precision in the grapes.

Appearance:
Deep ruby with violet highlights, clear and youthful in the glass.

Tasting notes:
The 2022 Bodegas Nekeas El Chaparral de Vega Sindoa has generous aromas of black cherries, plums, and red currants, followed by floral hints of violets and roses. Dried herbs, leather, tobacco leaf, cedar, and spice add complexity. The palate is medium-to-full-bodied, with a supple and inviting mouthfeel. Layers of blackberries, plums, and black cherries flow across the palate, framed by gentle tannins. Mid-palate notes of cocoa, espresso, and forest-floor earthiness emerge, offering depth without overpowering the fruit core. Fresh acidity maintains balance and vitality. The finish reinforces the wine’s poised structure and elegance, with echoes of dark fruits, herbal spice, and wet stone.
