Established in 2002, Pagos del Rey has wineries in Spain's premier appellations, each one aiming to produce wines with a distinct sense of place. The company preserves traditional winemaking practices while at the same time embracing innovation. They practice sustainable farming in order to preserve the planet and produce pure, terroir-driven wines.
Sourced from vineyards at “Val do Salnés” (Valley of the Salterns) in Galicia, the 2023 Pagos del Rey Pulpo Albariño was stainless steel fermented and aged on the lees for 4 months in order to add weight and complexity. It has aromas of peaches and apricots alongside notes of jasmine and white flowers. The palate is fresh and zesty, with a round, smooth texture and flavors of lemons, white peaches, and a distinct, sea-breeze-tinged saline minerality that brings it to a long finish.
