Introduction: Rosenblum Cellars was founded in Oakland in 1978 by Dr. Kent Rosenblum — originally a veterinarian and home winemaker — and grew into one of California's most decorated Zinfandel specialists before expanding into Rhône-inspired whites. Now based in Oakland with over four decades of history and numerous 90-plus scores and gold medals, the Vintner's Cuvée Chenin Blanc Viognier is the winery's everyday value expression — a fruit-forward, unoaked California white designed for immediate enjoyment and broad food versatility.

Terroir: Sourced from vineyard sites across the broad California appellation, this blend draws on growing areas suited to both varieties — Chenin Blanc's natural home in warmer California valleys where it builds ripe tropical fruit while retaining acidity, and Viognier's affinity for warm, well-drained sites where it develops its signature stone fruit and floral aromatics. The 85/15 blend leans firmly on Chenin Blanc's structure and freshness, with Viognier contributing aromatic lift and texture.

Appearance: Bright golden-straw with clean, luminous clarity.

Nose: Fresh and immediately appealing — pineapple, apricot, peach, and lemon lead alongside ripe stone fruit and delicate floral notes from the Viognier. Clean and tropical in character, the absence of oak and malolactic fermentation keeps the aromatics vivid and direct.

Palate: Medium-bodied with crisp acidity and a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Flavors of pineapple, peach, nectarine, and citrus zest are bright and refreshing, with a subtle honeyed sweetness and clean fruit finish. Cold stainless steel fermentation, no malolactic conversion, and no oak aging preserve the wine's essential freshness and fruit purity from start to close.

Finish: Clean and refreshing with a bright, fruit-forward fade and good acidity. Approachable and satisfying throughout.

Food Pairings:
🥩 Meat: Grilled shrimp with garlic butter, roasted chicken with lemon and herbs, or light seafood pasta.
🥦 Vegetarian: Summer salads with citrus vinaigrette, vegetable stir-fry, or mild Thai curry with coconut milk.
🧀 Charcuterie Board: Fresh chèvre, mild Brie, Marcona almonds, dried apricots, and honeycomb.

Overall Impression: An easy-drinking, fruit-forward California white blend built for everyday enjoyment — crowd-pleasing, food-versatile, and reliably fresh at an accessible price point. Chenin Blanc provides the structure and acidity; Viognier adds the aromatic polish. Serve well-chilled at 45–48°F; drink now while youthful and vivid.
