Aged for one year in large oak barrels, the 2021 Vite Colte Barbaresco "La Casa in Collina" has aromas of cherries, dried rose petals, and raspberry compote with layers of sage, thyme, leather, and tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied, with vibrant acidity and well-integrated, fine-grained tannins. Red cherries, wild strawberries, and cranberries are framed by savory herbal notes and a touch of dried orange peel. The finish is long and elegant, with lingering notes of cherries, dried roses, and a slight anise undertone.
