Production & Aging: Widow Jane's Rye Mash American Oak Aged Whiskey is crafted from a mash bill predominantly composed of rye, with a touch of barley. The distillate is initially aged in used 7-year bourbon barrels, into which fresh oak and applewood staves are inserted to impart additional flavor and complexity. This aging process results in a light, tropical "summer" rye, suitable for both sipping and mixing in cocktails.
