PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
Jonathan and Suan Pey established their winery based on their love for elegant, cool-climate wines that were authentic expressions of varietal and terroir. Known and loved for their ethereal chardonnays and pinot noirs, they longed for the same lissome elegance in a rosé. Enter "The Forager" Vin Gris Rosé, a beautifully-made nod to the classic pinks from the south of France.

How did the Peys stay true to their style of wine craftsmanship? While many rosés are made by taking wine from fermenting red juice before it gains too much color (known as "saignée"), "The Forager" is the result of the more traditional "vin gris" method. With this process, red juice is made somewhat like white wine. Grapes are pressed and the juice spends little or no time soaking with the skins. What results is rosé that is bright and refreshing, with lip-smacking acidity.

Today's wine, made from 100% pinot noir is indeed a refreshing sipper, with aromas and flavors of strawberries, pomegranates, and Bing cherries laced with wet stone. The mid-weight palate is cut with bright acidity that makes this wine a killer thirst slaker.
