PRODUCT OVERVIEW/REVIEW:
Quinta do Noval has a history dating back to 1715, but it became famous with the release of its 1931 Vintage Port. Its success established Quinta do Noval among the great names of Port in international markets. Over the last 30 years, the estate has replanted many of its vineyards and upgraded its winemaking facility, seamlessly blending old world tradition with new world innovation. With these renovations came the addition of still wines to their portfolio, thus proving their versatility among winemaking styles and helping to establish Portugal as a leader in the production of red wines that smash the price-to-quality ratio.

The 2018 Quinta do Noval Maria Mansa Douro Tinto is a blend of 40% touriga francesa, 40% touriga nacional, and 20% tinta roriz that was fermented in stainless steel and aged in seasoned oak barrels for 11 months. Medium-to-full-bodied, it offers aromas and flavors of red and black fruits. The silky smooth palate is layered with subtle notes of vanilla, toast, and baking spice. Moderate acidity keeps it light on its feet and brings it to a long finish.
