Introduction:
Terrazas de los Andes was founded in 1992 as the fine wine expression of Moët Hennessy's Mendoza operations, with a founding philosophy built on a single conviction: altitude is everything. A pioneer in the now-celebrated Gualtallary appellation of the Uco Valley, the winery has spent three decades mapping the relationship between elevation, terroir, and varietal character across more than 550 hectares of high-altitude vineyards. The Reserva Chardonnay is the range's signature white — a Burgundy-inspired expression grown at the foot of the Andes that consistently surprises with its freshness, mineral tension, and layered complexity.*
Tasting notes:
Sourced from high altitude vineyards with clay and. limestone soils (4,035 to 4,920 ASL) in the Gualtallary and El Peral districts of Tupungato in the Uco Valley and aged for 8 months on the lees, the 2024 Terrazas de los Andes Reserva Chardonnay Has aromas of stone fruits lifted by candied citrus peel, a hint of white honey, and a subtle floral thread. The palate is full-bodied and generously textured, with bright flavors of ripe pears, yellow peaches, and grapefruit framed by wet stone and balanced acidity that keeps everything lifted and focused. A creamy, unctuous mid-palate gives way to a long finish of subtle brioche and citrus zest.*

92 points, Vinous:
"The 2024 Chardonnay Reserva Terrazas de los Andes from Uco Valley opens with a hint of reduction, green apple and a touch of chalk. The palate is vibrant and enveloping, with oak contributing creaminess and length. Concentrated and fruit-driven, the 2024 is a flavorful, well-structured Chardonnay."
92 points, James Suckling:
"This is herbal with subtle citrus as well as a touch of pineapple. Crisp and linear, it shows clean texture and brightness that lead to an equally bright finish. From high-altitude vineyards in Gualtallary and El Peral."
