PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
Dominio de Eguren is located in the region of Manchuela, a sub-zone of La Mancha in Central Spain. The property has been family-run for four generations by the Eguren family, best known for their Rioja estate, Sierra Cantabria. Dominio de Eguren, along with Sierra Cantabria, was one of the very first wineries represented by noted Spanish wine importer Jorge Ordoñez in the early 1990s.

Protocolo Tinto is crafted from the fruit of 30-70-year-old Tempranillo vines sourced from several of the finest sites in Manchuela. Fermentation and subsequent aging take place in temperature-controlled tanks at cooler temperatures in order to preserve the wine's fresh fruit characters.

Medium-bodied, today's wine has abundant aromas and flavors of brambly black raspberries and blackberries, with accents of herbs and a hint of stony minerality. Supple tannins and bright acidity add structure to this extremely versatile and easy-to-love wine.
