"Château la Colombière is in the Fronton wine appellation of South-Western France. Fronton's vineyard area lies around the town of the same name, just to the north of Toulouse. At least 50 percent of any Fronton vineyard must be planted with the local grape variety Négrette.

The Romans having planting vineyards in Gaillac and Fronton since the 3rd century, Château la Colombière's agricultural history dates back to the fifth century, with its vineyards located on the alluvial terraces of the Tarn River. Fronton's wine is made from the grape varietal Négrette and is the specialty of Fronton.

Diane Driésen and her her husband Philippe took over the estate from Diane's father in 2006 and converted to organic and biodynamic farming in their first vintage. Today the Domaine’s 16 hectares are certified by Ecocert. Yet beyond the specifications, the couple seek to give the local and historic grape Négrette its nobility, and to the terroirs of Fronton all the attention it deserves. This bottling of "Coste Rouge" has an ageing program of concrete vat and large barrel for 24 months. Unfiltered wine.

Tasting notes:
This is a wine with finesse and a velvety structure, with flavors and aromas of peony, rose, violets, sichuan pepper and black fruits. It beautifully accompanies autumn and winter vegetables, roasted meats and game birds".
