Established in 1982 by Fred Cline, Cline Cellars is a family-owned winery with humble beginnings in Oakley, Contra Costa County. Over the years, as the business has grown, the Clines acquired vineyards throughout northern California and moved their winery from Oakley to Sonoma. Driven by a desire to produce wines of the highest quality while being stewards of the land, the Clines farm their vineyards sustainably, with a commitment to preserving ecological balance and our natural resources.
The 2021 Cline Viognier is sourced from eight vineyards located in Mendocino, Lake County, and the Sonoma Coast. These sites provide the grapes with abundant warmth and sunshine during the day followed by cool nights - just the right conditions to help the fruit achieve the perfect balance between ripeness and acidity.
Stainless steel fermented and unoaked in order to showcase the wine's ultra-ripe fruit characters, the 2021 Cline Viognier is richly textured and perfumed, with aromas and flavors of pineapples, apricots, and peaches flanked by hints of vanilla and citrus fruits. Check out the press!
