The brainchild of winemaker Chris Cooney, Uppercut is the second label of Provenance winery and was made with bargain-seeking wine enthusiasts in mind - you know, US! Cooney believed that high quality wines should be affordable. With access to grapes from some of the finest vineyards in California, this American "negociant" was able to realize his dream of making a stellar wines that are within reach of most wine consumers.

Sourced from prime vineyards throughout the state and aged in new oak, the 2023 Uppercut Cabernet Sauvignon "Limited Release" California has aromas of blackberry and black cherry layered with espresso, violet, and a hint of spice. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, with flavors of brambly black cherry and juicy plum laced with cocoa and dark caramel. Pliant tannins lend structure and bright acidity balances out the opulent fruit characters. Baking spices and subtle toasted oak linger on the long finish.
