Treixadura was made for Ribeiro. Theirs is a superb marriage of grape and terroir. Their synergy is as close to perfect as it gets, and it is on delicious display here!
Ribeiro, an appellation in Galicia, is located in the northwestern part of Spain, between Rias Biaxas and Ribeira Sacra. Its centuries-long winemaking history is a nod to its terroir. This viticulturally rich region has warm summers, abundant sunshine, wide diurnal temperature variation, moderating breezes from the Atlantic, and well-drained, granitic soils overlaid with sandy loam.
Treixadura thrives in the terroir of Ribiero and makes wines that are distinct reflections of their origins, with enticing aromatics, ripe fruit characters, balancing acidity, and secondary flavors that speak of soil and seaspray.
The Vina Costeira Treixadura has aromas of jasmine, orange blossom, and orchard fruits, leading to a light-to-medium-bodied palate with generous flavors of peaches, pears, and lemon peel entwined with mineral and herbal undertones and a subtle hint of salinity on the long, zesty finish.
ABV: 12%
