Chile is a veritable gold mine when it comes to wines that slay the price-to-quality ratio, largely because of the Central Valley. Stretching from the Maipo Valley near Santiago to the Maule Valley (both sub-regions of the larger appellation), the Central Valley has such a great diversity of terroir that a multitude of grape varietals flourish there.
Cabernet sauvignon is a star in the Central Valley. Cabernet-based wines made here are exceptionally well-balanced, thanks to the region's Mediterranean climate and moderating influences of the Pacific Ocean and the Andes Mountains.
The 2019 Cuna del Sol Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas and flavors of blackberries and black cherries laced with subtle hints of woodsmoke, mocha, and wet stone. Vibrant acidity keeps it light on its feet and begs you to take another sip.
