Ferraton Père et Fils is a fourth-generation estate currently operated by Samuel Ferraton, who cut his teeth working for renowned Rhône winemaker Michel Chapoutier. Michel purchased the Ferraton estate in 2004 and since then has worked with Samuel to convert the property to organic and biodynamic viticulture. Their partnership has resulted in an overall increase in quality; the entire portfolio of Ferraton wines is an impressive display of modern craftsmanship and Old-World reverence for terroir.

"This Rhône team has turned out a terrific 2020 Gigondas "Les Murailles" based on 80% grenache and 20% syrah. Pretty red and blue fruits, garrigue, sandalwood, and spice all emerge from the glass, and it’s medium-bodied, balanced, and offers loads of character." (1/25/22)
