From the iconic, family-owned Fess Parker Winery and Vineyard in Santa Barbara County's Santa Ynez Valley, The Big Easy is a dazzling display of the viticultural bounty of Santa Barbara.
Named for one of the family's favorite culinary cities, New Orleans, the 2020 The Big Easy is sourced from Fess Parker's Own Rodney's Vineyard and Camp Four Vineyard, both located in Santa Barbara County. Aged for 21 months in new (15%) and seasoned French and American oak barrels, it has rich dark fruit characters with oak, and pliant tannins that lead to a long finish. Check out the press!
93 points, Vinous:
"The 2020 Big Easy is superb. Inky, mocha, licorice, spice, and a touch of oak give this racy, voluptuous petite sirah-based red tons of character. The 2020 is bold and juicy, but also more aromatic and less heavy than some previous editions. It's a beautifully rendered wine from Fess Parker."

"One of the finest vintages I’ve tasted, the 2020 The Big Easy brings more elegance and purity than usual and has a beautiful bouquet of blue fruits, game, iron, and bay leaf. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has silky tannins, a layered, satisfying mouthfeel, and a great finish. The blend is 52% syrah, 24% petite sirah, 18% grenache, and the rest cabernet sauvignon, aged 21 months in 15% new French and American oak."
93 points, Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Dense aromas of cassis meet with rich caramel and fudge on the ripe and deep nose of this bottling. The palate is thick and intense yet retains a big-wine balance, offering cocoa, black fruit, light herb, and cracked pepper flavors."
