Product Details:
Fruit for the Truly Rita Pinot Noir comes from the well-respected Dierberg – Drum Canyon site. This vineyard is on a steep slope facing the Pacific Ocean and is influenced by the cool ocean breezes every day. The Hartford Court blocks are planted to three clonal selections: Swan, Calera and Dijon 115. The well-drained and calcium-rich soils, combined with the cool climate, produce a very graceful wine with powerful underlying texture.

Tasting Notes:
Aromas of wild cherry, crushed violets and a white tea-like note of earth and spice complement the notes of salinity and ripe cherry. With polished tannins and a lengthy finish, this very elegant wine shows the beauty of Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir.

"The 2018 Pinot Noir Truly Rita comes all from the Dierberg-Drum Canyon Vineyard and was aged in just 14% new French oak. Its deeper ruby hue is followed by a richer, medium-to-full-bodied, stunning pinot noir that offers ample black raspberry and redcurrant fruit as well as forest floor, black tea, sappy flowers, and a kiss of salty, mineral-like nuances on the palate. I love this, and it's balanced, brings ample texture, and has a good spine of acidity as well as a great finish."
