Tenuta Sette Cieli was established in 2001 with vineyards planted 400 meters above sea level between Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. The estate extends over 80 hectares of land, 10 of which are planted to vineyards. Terraces with dry stone walls divide the varieties grown on the estate: cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot, and malbec are planted at high density on land suitable for growing vines. The estate overlooks the "Bolgheri Amphitheatre", a landscape of soft hills that slope gently and embrace the sea, creating a mild microclimate.*

Today's offer is malbec dominant, with cabernet sauvignon and merlot as supporting players. Aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, it is complex and rich, with ripe fruit characters layered with notes of vanilla, cedar, and baking spices.  Check out the press!

94 points, Vinous:

"The 2017 Indaco (malbec, cabernet sauvignon, merlot) is fabulous. Rich, ample, and explosive, with tremendous depth, the 2017 saturates the palate with tons of intensity. Inky red/purplish fruit, blood orange, mint, licorice, and spice flesh out effortlessly. The 2017 is a big wine, but it also has plenty of energy to keep things in check. Gorgeous."

94 points, Jeb Dunnuck:
"A generous and sunny wine, the 2017 Indaco is a blend of malbec, merlot, and cabernet sauvignon. Ripe with purple flowers, menthol, plum, and licorice, it is supple and full on the palate, with ripe tannins, and long with spice and fruit."

93 points, James Suckling:
"Lots of delicious berry character with chewy, ripe-strawberry character. It’s medium-to-full-bodied with round, ripe tannins that complement the fruit at the end."

92 points, Decenter:
"The 2017 Indaco has a slightly richer, darker nose than the 2016, with a plush character reminiscent of blueberry and maple waffles. It has more structure and intensity in the mouth - the result of summer drought and a green harvest which reduced production by up to 45%. Black fruits and chocolate lead to a minty, herbal mid-palate with flashes of wood. It's very fresh but the finish is a touch dry, highlighted by a streak of barrel tar."

92 points, Wine Enthusiast:
"This blend of malbec, merlot, and cabernet sauvignon opens with aromas of ripe black-skinned berry, Mediterranean herb, and cedar. The firmly structured palate delivers cassis, black currant, licorice, and black pepper alongside chewy tannins."

ABV: 14.5%
