MAN Family Wines was established in 2001 by brothers Philip and Tyrrel Myburgh and José Conde while they were working at their families' wineries. These self-proclaimed "wine geeks", seeing a gap in the market, sought to craft wines that were affordable and appealing to wine lovers from novices to aficionados. They developed relationships with and bought fruit from local grape farmers and made them shareholders in the winery, thus making it a true collaborative effort.
The 2002 MAN Vintners "Padstal" Chardonnay beguiles the senses with aromas of pineapples and orange zest followed by a medium-bodied, lushly-textured palate of lemon, lime, and white peach, with hints of vanilla and butterscotch.
